Queer Connections

A publication for LGBTQIA+ women,
non-binary people & their allies

Queer Connections is a new publication which seeks to celebrate the lives of queer women and non-binary people.

We are passionate about empowering queer women and non-binary people to tell their own stories in a supportive, joyful community. In the coming months, we will invite submissions of articles and artwork from members of our community.

Our overall mission is to build community and connections among queer women and non-binary people throughout Ireland.

Clare Egan, co-founder

Clare Egan is a writer, editor and social entrepreneur based in Dublin. Her work has appeared in The Huffington Post, The Irish Times, Longreads and many others. It has also been rejected widely! She is the founder of Beyond Survival, a social enterprise which aims to help survivors of sexual violence feel less alone. She lives in Dublin with her partner and pets.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Materials for Learning

Many educational materials in local languages are often out of date. We work with school leaders and publishers to ensure that students have access to current textbooks that are age appropriate and written in their primary language.

Continuing Education for Teachers

We create bespoke continuing education programs to address the needs of teachers and their student communities. From training on the latest technology to new pedagogical methods, we help teachers make their classrooms engaging and successful.

Support for Communities

Education happens within the context of a larger community. Our approach extends beyond the school to help ensure students have the necessary support to do their best learning.

“With the support from Lusaka, we have been able to serve our students better than ever.”

— Alonzo F., School Principal
